About the company
FairPrice Group is Singapore’s largest retailer, serving communities through hundreds grocery stores, convenience stores, pharmacies, food courts and hawker centres. It is a social enterprise focused on keeping daily essentials affordable for Singaporeans.




Problem
FairPrice Group pursues responsible business practices and sustainable business growth so that it can benefit its communities and the environment.
However, its sustainability strategy and initiatives were not clearly communicated in the original copy submitted by another copywriter for this annual and sustainability report. I was hired to rewrite and edit the copy.
Solution
Rewrote the messages to better meet their strategic objectives:
Joint message from the chairman and group CEO – business strategy and performance
Group CEO's message – sustainability agenda and initiatives
Rewrote the sustainability report content to clearly communicate the group’s sustainability strategy, initiatives and performance
Simplified complex information and sentences into readable, easy-to digest content
Prioritised content clarity and used a confident and conversational writing voice across the report




Result
Communicated FairPrice Group’s ESG goals, progress and impacts clearly and cogently
Demonstrated clear links between FairPrice Group’s business, ESG performance and sustainability impact
